Title: Beggars
Description: 84 x 115 mm. Woodburytype. A view showing a beggar woman and her two children standing in the street. The photograph appears in Thomson's 'Through Cyprus with the camera, in the autumn of 1878' (vol.1, London: Sampson Low, Marston, Searle, and Rivington, 1879). It is annotated: 'The woman shown in the present picture was evidently no professional beggar.
