Duffus Bros (Jack and W.) had a studio in Joubert Street, Johannesburg circa 1891 to 1899. In 1893 the firm appears to have been active in Potchefstroom. Circa 1889 Jack Duffus was the official photographer for the London 'Sphere' and had a 'Royal Appointment' (Bensusan 1963, p.231). The firm also had a studio at Burlington House, Pritchard Street, Johannesburg.
