'Professor' Robert Hall was a commercial photographer active in Australia. He set up a studio in Currie Street, West End, Adelaide, in 1846. He took the first portraits in Perth (Cato 1955, p.171). Hall occupied various studios in Adelaide until his death in 1866 (Davies and Stanbury 1985, p.172; Cato 1955, p.171).
