William Johnson was an uncovenanted civil servant circa 1848-1861. He had a daguerrotype studio in Grant's Road, Bombay circa 1852-circa 1854 and a photographic studio circa 1854-circa 1860. In partnership with William Henderson, Johnson produced the 'Indians Amateurs Photographic Album' (1856-58). They were also responsible for at least some of the photographs in Frith's India Series. | |||
