Albert Lomer was a commercial photographer active in Australia. He opened the first photographic studio in Brisbane in 1862 (Cato 1955, p.176 [Cato refers to Lomer as Lormer]; Davies and Stanbury 1985, p.190). Lomer was active at a variety of addresses in Melbourne, Brisbane, Sydney and Queensland circa 1862-1900. (Davies and Stanbury 1985 pp.190-192).
