| G.L. Pairaudeau was a commercial photographer active in Georgetown, British Guiana (now Guyana) in the 1870s and 1880s. In the 1872 edition of the 'British Guiana directory...' Pairaudeau is listed as a photographer on Main Street (1872, p.56). Pairaudeau also seems to be working as a dentist (British Guiana directory...' 1872, advertising section). In the 1876 edition of the directory he is listed as a photographer, watchmaker and dentist (1876, p.78, 159, 177, 180 and xxii). These careers seem to continue to 1879 ('British Guiana directory...' 1879, p.84, 173, 188 and 194). Pairaudeau is not listed in the 1880 directory. However, from 1881 to 1883 Pairaudeau is listed as a photographer and dentist ('British Guiana directory...' 1881, p.101, 201 and 215; 1882, p.87, 204 and 222; 1883, p.90, 204 and 223). | |||
