Camille Silvy was a French photographer active in London, England, circa 1857-69. He took over the business of Caldesi and Montecchi in 1859. From 1860 to 1861 he was based at 38 Porchester Terrace, Bayswater. From 1862 to 1869 he was based at 38 and 38B Porchester Terrace. Silvy was probably the first carte-de-visite photographer in London. He also photographed landscapes. Silvy sold the business to Adolphe Beau (Pritchard 1994, pp.103-104).
