Saul Solomon was a commercial photographer based in Australia in the latter part of the nineteenth century. From 1857 to 1862 Solomon had a studio in Main Road, Ballarat. Solomon continued to be active in Ballarat until 1874, working in partnership with Bardwell, and based at 29 Sturt Street, opposite Star Office, Ballarat. The firm Solomon and Bardwell was also active in Maryborough, Victoria, and Dunolly, Victoria. From 1874 to 1891 Solomon was also operating as the Adelaide School of Photography at 51 Rundle Street, Adelaide (Davies and Stanbury 1985, p.234). Saul Solomon was almost certainly connected to S. Solomon.
