| A. Sylvester Taylor was possibly a stereophotographer in New York, United States, 1850s-60s and in Costa Rica 1860s. He had a studio in Main Street, Georgetown, British Guiana (now Guyana) circa 1876 ('The British Guiana directory...' 1876, p.87 and 177). He was active in Barbados in the 1870s and 1880s.
