whereas at a view with court here held friday being 9.4.1619 Margt Potter wife of Hugh Potter Agnes Bullock wife of Jn Bullock Jane Machin wife of Thos Machin and Ann Kent wife of Jn Kent were shown to be the next heirs of Eliz Parker deceased and that they should the right to certain customary lands held of this manor of which the aforesaid Eliz Parker died seised in her demesne as of fee upon which at that same court they were admitted to the aforesaid lands to hold to themselves and their heirs forever and also at that same court the aforesaid Jn Bullock and Agnes his wife and Agnes herself lawfully examined surrendered all and singular their rights and interest in the aforesaid premises to the aforesaid Margt Jane and Ann and their heirs forever and whereupon they were admitted as by a roll of that same court it was clearly shown now to this court came the aforesaid Thos Machin and Jane his wife and Jn Kent and Ann his wife the aforesaid women lawfully examined according to the custom of the aforesaid manor and surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the aforesaid steward a parcel of the aforesaid lands viz one parcel of land being from ancient times a way leading from the kings highway towards Coggeshall in a certain field called Smythfield lying between customary land sometime of Rich Parker on one part towards the north and a certain parcel of land sometime of the aforesaid Rich Parker on the other part towards the south to the use and behoof of Margt Potter her heirs and assigns forever to whom the same said Margt the lord of the aforesaid manor by his aforesaid steward granted thereof seisin to have to her and her heirs forever from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord etc and she gave to the lord her fine and made fealty and was admitted thereof tenant of the lord
