whereas at view with court here held friday being 9.4.1619 Margt Potter wife of Hugh Potter Agnes Bullock wife of Jn Bullock Jane Machin wife of Thos Machin and Ann Kent wife of Jn Kent were shown to be the next heirs of Eliz Parker deceased and that they should have the right to certain customary lands held of the same manor of which the aforesaid Eliz died seised in her demesne as of fee upon which at that same court they were admitted to the aforesaid lands to hold to them and their heirs and also at that same court the aforesaid Jn Bullock and Agnes his wife and Agnes herself lawfully examined surrendered all and singular their rights and interests in the aforesaid premises to the aforesaid Margt Jane and Ann and their heirs forever and upon that they were admitted as by a roll of that same court it is clearly shown now to this court came the aforesaid Hugh Potter and Margt his wife and Thos Machin and Jane his wife the aforesaid women solely secretly and lawfully examined and acknowledged by the aforesaid steward according to the custom of the aforesaid manor and they surrendered into the hands of the lord by the hands of the aforesaid steward the aforesaid parcels of land viz one croft of land with garden enclosed and also two crofts of land lying between Mills Fen and the brook containing 5a of land more or less and two crofts of land whereof one croft is lying next to Sandhill containing by estimation 4a of land and the other croft of land parcel of Mills Fen and lying between the said croft of land and the kings highway leading towards Tey as by the metes etc to the use and behoof of the aforesaid Jn Kent and Ann his wife for the term of their lives and to the longer liver and then to the heirs and assigns of Ann herself forever upon which at this court the lord of the aforesaid manor by his aforesaid steward granted to them seisin thereof to have to them the aforesaid Jn Kent and Ann and to the longer liver and the remainder thereof as stated above to hold from the lord by the rod at the will of the lord according to the custom of the aforesaid manor by the rents and services thereunto belonging and by right accustomed and they gave to the lord their fine for their separate estates and the aforesaid Jn Kent made fealty and they were admitted thereof tenants of the lord
