Burke and Gomez had a studio at the Caledonian Hotel, New North Road, Georgetown, British Guiana (now Guyana), in 1892 ('British Guiana directory and almanack' 1892, p.285). In the 1894 edition of the 'British Guiana directory and almanack', the studio of Burke, Gomez and Rosa is mentioned as being at the corner of Murray and Queen Streets, Georgetown (p.298). In the same volume is an advert for 'Burke and Rosa, photo-artists; 14, Holmes or Murray St., Georgetown' ('British Guiana directory and almanack', 1894, p.xxxvii). Gomez is listed as 'Partner' ('British Guiana directory and almanack' 1894, p.77). In 1896 Burke and Gomez had a studio on Water Street ('British Guiana directory and almanack' 1896, p.304).
