Carl Vandyk was a commercial photographer based in London, England. From 1882 Vandyk had a studio at 125 Gloucester Road, London. He also established a studio at 37 Buckingham Palace Road (Pritchard 1984, p.114). Vandyk was succeeded by his son, Herbert Vandyk (circa 1880-1943) (National Portrait Gallery 2004). In 1964 the company became 'Bassano and Vandyck Studio'. In 1965 it incorporated 'Elliott and Fry'. In 1977 it became 'Industrial Photographic' (Pritchard 1994, p.34). A 'C. Vandyk' also had a studio at 41 Maxilla Gardens, Nottinghill (Pritchard 1984, p.137). |
