caption: Helmet-shaped man's hat of brown cane-work, with a band of finer woven cane around it stained red with yellow spots and yellow cane strands stitched across. From mid-front and mid-back arise 2 plumes of goat's hair dyed red, meeting at the top a small black tuft. There is a boar's tusk at either side and from the bottom of the back there spring 2 curved sections of buffalo horn surmounted by black plumes of goat's hair. Round the base of this, and also lower, are rings of short black, red and white goat's hair. Chikao village, Konyak.
