Flageolet of cane with four finger holes. Closed at one end by a node small hole is bored in side near the node, over the hole a piece of bamboo is fixed with wax, grooved below to form an air duct to guide the air into the "voice". The whole end is put into the mouth when blowing. Said to have been learned from Thado Kuki, same type prevalent in adjacent plains of Burma. Kalyo-Kengyu (or Para), Phowakungi village. |
