Chief of Chingmei dances at the ceremonies that follow the conclusion of a successful raid. He wears full ceremonial dress and, as he dances, he strikes his shield with his dao to tally the number of captured enemy heads, the numbers of which he declaims in a loud voice. Chang, Chingmei village.
