text: When I reached Tseyama Khel, I found a great stir in a courtyard adjoining the fort. Men and women had gathered, leaf cups of plantain leaves were being made and rice beer going the rounds. I was told that ten years ago Lhuler Angami had died and his son was now erecting a stone to his memory. For this ceremony, all the men and women of the Khel together with two or three from other Khels in the village assemble at the house. Cattle are killed and eaten, rice beer is drunk and in the afternoon the party goes to the forest, drags out a great stone and stands it on end in a field.
text: Below the fort is another gate and beyond is a wooden bridge with mithan heads engraved on its flooring and rows of rectangular blocks on either side. (13)
