text: At Khonoma these were installed in the gaonbura's house of the [blank] khel. The ornament extended all along a panel of the wall. In the middle, red chains were hung and an enlarged version of the white shell that is worn at the nape of the neck and on either side were chains in black and white. I was told that these chains are made by the boys and girls at the sekrengi festival and are used for ceremonially garlanding the house. (see Angami Nagas 205)
