No effigies - the dead exposed in platforms in open coffins roofed with palm leaves - a row of coffins with twin hornbills carved on the lid - in a separate place bamboo structures as memorial - with chillies, plantains and the impedimenta of the dead - wooden model of spears, daos etc. - by the path - (nothing for soul-substance to leak into)
