text: Re the headtaker's model man, Khonoma all refused to carve and sell one saying it would weaken the Khel in war 'to sell a man' - it was genna to 'make a man' for anyone not of the Khel - the object is to get heads - not to lose them - parting with a little carved figure would be like losing a head.
