text: Treatment of mithan. When a calf is about a year old it is roped up and dragged to the village. There it is tied up in its owners' house for 5 days - given salt - talked to 'to make it tame' 'to teach the calf its family' - the same thing done the next year.
text: At Anangba I saw a calf being pulled in by a line of boys.
