text: 1936 Expedition
text: S.D.O's no. 1248G dt. 6/1/36: Pangsha and Yimpang exterminated Kejok (Sq.83) on Christmas day or eve. 53 heads taken. Pangsha already taken 9 heads from Panso, 7 Ngobe this year.
text: S.D.O's no 58G dt. 16/4/1936: Pangsha raided Agching or Saochu and killed all (about 50) only 10 escaped. Tobu may have hired Pangsha to do this. Later reports say that Himbo, Pangsha, Chingmei Yimpang, Waochu and Tobu were responsible. In all 140 heads taken (later only 10 Chingmei men joined in). Massacre of Saochu because they warned Agching what was coming to them. (A few survivors kept as slaves). D.C. in his no. 351G dt. 29/4/36 to Com. says Pangsha - 6 Nos. responsible for 200 deaths. Mills in his D.O. no. 84G dt. 13/8/36 to Dawson C.S. says "There is no objection to adding to the draft the fact that Pangsha were responsible for the death of some 200 persons last cold weather. If there is no danger of India pressing for the abolition of head hunting as well as slave trading in that area to abolish head hunting would be a task beyond our powers. Unless we administered the country I need not emphasize the expense that would be involved in administration".
