text: Kongon
text: Former head-taking practice - to take all heads irrespective of age or sex. If a child at the breast, then the mother's head was taken and the child was carried away screaming with the raiders. Back in the village when all were dancing, it would be killed and its head thrown on the others.
text: Since they offered the bit of head, no more deaths in that morung, but one man has died in another morung.
text: The fragment of finger (+ head) put in a basket ball and given 2 horns.
text: The horns:
text: 1. To 'stop its ears' so that it may get no news.
text: 2. To honour it so that it may induce others to join its fate. The killer must offer to the head for 3 Bihus.
