| text: | men and women link up - go round clockwise first - then reverse and go round widdershins - the mixed dance we saw at Tuensang was an 'ordinary' one danced at night - there is a special warrior's dance reserved for the Harvest Festival only - Hutton who saw dances in November 1923 must have seen some 'ordinary' ones - women's hair down their backs - breasts bare - a jigging step - swinging the hands - range of steps is very small. |
