Lhota - can marry anyone as first wife who is not of his own clan - eg. another tribe of Nagas. Assamese etc. - Once he has a first wife, all subsequent wives must be of same clan and with first wife's consent. If not of her clan, compensation of Rs. 10/- to her father in law or residuary guardian - eg. if first wife is Lhota and second wife is Angami, compensation has to be paid. |
