text: At last we have reached Mokokchung. There is no village here - it is merely an artificial administrative centre with offices, a hospital, a doctor's house, a High School, two Middle English schools with their hostels, an outpost of the 3rd Assam Rifles, as well as our own house. The buildings are all made of wood and plastered wattle with red corrugated iron roofs and they are raised off the ground because of earthquakes.
