All today the local Aos have been visiting Mayang and (21) urging him to lead the delegation, but he has still not agreed and they are beginning to wonder who should be chosen in his place. Longri Ao is being freely talked of as his successor. He is a vigorous, violent speaker with long arms and huge hands. He is a teacher at Jorhat and for many years was under Congress influence. Now he has left the Congress orbit and is a vehement supporter of the N.N.C. |
