text: After drinking rice-beer these two headmen accompanied us to the camp which is on a site used by an American outpost during the war. The Americans had a chain of such camps right across the No Man's land as aeroplane observation posts. The camp is 6670 feet above sea level and I fear we are in for a cold night. We are now on the edge of the administered area and it is here that we wait for the escort to arrive before crossing the frontier.
