text: Once over the ridge, the familiar Tizu valley lay below us and the hills of the Sema and Ao country. We have now left behind the Changs and Yimchungrs and are over the boundary in administered territory amongst the Semas. Litsimi has only been administered for a year, but Christianity has reached it. On the outskirts of the village, the youth was gathered modestly swathed in ample cloths. Each boy and girl held a spray of scarlet poinsettias. As we approached, they swung round, formed a procession in front of us and led the way to the village chanting a slow hymn and solemnly waving their flowers. (154)
