text: Then I went down to the new grave and took a few photographs. A barrow had been raised two and a half to three metres long and about one metre wide, and piled up with stones the size of a child's head. (38) On it was placed the carrying basket of the deceased and his umbrella was stuck in about one third. The view was magnificent over the light green meadows and over the young trees which were pulled this way and that by the wind, and deep into the valleys far away to the dark mountains of the Japro Range, the summits and slopes of which held white bits of clouds.
