text: Wakching 10/7/1936 This morning we went to Shiong. The sky was mostly cloudy and the temperature comfortable. Only for a moment the sun came through the cloud cover. At first the path led steeply downwards for a little while through high grass and bushes, then it continued through the jhum fields, descending gently along the slope of the hill range. The path has only just been cleared. That is usually done here after the weeding has been completed.
