text: First we went into the house of the sister of Ahon, the dobashi of Shiong. She has an infected foot. (86) Then Ahon takes us into his own house where several people were sitting on the two platforms. One of his two wives has had leprosy for several years. It is incredible how he and his children can live in the same house without catching the disease. Shiong is known for its high number of lepers.
