text: We ate our lunch in Tanhai's second morung. It is a big building with good carvings. After one o'clock we started on our way home. Ahon told us about a long feud between Joboka and Yang-yu in the process of which Joboka only recently ambushed and fell upon a group of people from Yang-yu who were returning from the plain and twenty-six heads were taken. By now Yang-yu has taken some revenge by capturing one Joboka head. (SP. 2. p. 21-27). Furthermore he told us of old feuds between Chi and Totok. (SP. 2 p. 30 following). The path from Tanhai up to Wakching was strenuous and hot. Finally it started to rain. We arrived here at quarter past three.
