text: | A small field house 'tepi' stands in every field. It is properly roofed with palm leaves. The posts are of bamboo and so high that one can just about stand up in it and there is a hearth and two small bamboo benches. Only during the rice harvest when rice is stacked up in it do men sometimes sleep there to guard it. |
