text: Then came Dzeam-ang, Pong-yong's son, and the Ang of the Balang morung. He receives the head of every wild animal hunted and killed by a Balang man as well as the leg of any animal killed for a morung sacrifice. The most important morung genna is held in the month of Lia when a little bit of the young harvest is placed on a fenced-in platform near the morung and a mithan and a pig are sacrificed. Took down the text of the offering for the fields' fertility. (notebook 3 p. 36). The oldest men kill the pig. In addition a cock is sacrificed in the morung. (177) During the pig sacrifice a magic formula is said which is supposed to cause the rice of all the neighbouring villages to flow to Wakching. (notebook 3 p. 36).
