text: Ghawang is also called upon to bring a multitude of children, but in that case the shaman, Limia, steps into action in Wakching and she finds out first whether the childlessness is actually caused by Ghawang's wrath. Most of the time she seems to come to this conclusion and she then kills a chicken in the house of the couple by hitting its head against the house post when no blood has to flow and saying "Ghawang give children". For this service she receives a dao or rupee. The chicken is Ghawang's bird. The cock who crows on the roof calls Ghawang.
