text: In the evening I went to one of these singing parties of the The-phong girls. (257) It was a splendid moonlit night. Ten or twelve sat in the completely black house of a widow with daughters and three or more of them were singing their monotonous songs. They were expecting some Ang-ban boys who are apparently much fussed over because of the absence of the Bala people.
