text: There are four morungs in Mon which however are not exogamous. Chingai emphasised in particular that in Mon not the morung but the clan is of first importance. This can also be seen in the funeral customs. If a man dies (44) the girls of another morung do not spread leaves but it is done by the Ben girls for an Ang man and by Ang girls for a Ben man.
