text: | I asked about the stone from which the Wakching people say that the first rice grew, indeed on the way to Namsang about half a mile away from Kongan there are two big stone blocks called 'yong-dzang-nu'. They are said to be man and wife and until about four years ago rice used to grow on them. People came and took from it and apparently mixed it with their seed grains. The rice is supposed to have grown of its own accord. |
