Such houses with two figures are built for Ang and Ben men but not for women but sometimes little protective roofs are built for women where their parents mourn for them. The platforms for the apotia, that is bad deaths, stands slightly apart. The Ang clan as well as the Wangshu clan have separate but directly adjacent funeral places. Those for the Ben clans are somewhat further down. The skulls of the Ang people are stored altogether in a big stone box covered with a heavy lid. Now however this is full up and therefore they are also put into pots. All other clans store their skulls in pots. These are either piled up or they lie around in the tall grass and some skulls grin from between broken shards |
