text: I slept extremely well in this house too. In the morning the sky is slightly overcast but it clears up during the morning. I go into the village together with a funny old man who has tied a bundle of brownish-red hair into his own. His name is Thanpong and he claims to be a special friend of Hutton and Mills. His Assamese is quite good and his chattiness makes him quite a valuable informant.
