Soon younger men come from the morung and form a second group with a leader of its own which dances closely behind the first one. These young warriors (131) are even more magnificently decorated and are wearing hats with red goat's hair and tall hornbill bird feathers. There is plenty of room for individual taste and hardly two of the dancers are dressed alike. One of our coolies from Wangla, a funny middle-aged man, cannot watch the dance calmly. Somewhere he got a hat and a dancer's dao with goat's hair and now he dances on his own, wildly swinging his dao. Fortunately the sun only momentarily hides behind the clouds and I can take a lot of pictures |
