text: During the day the Ang morung lies deserted. However some boys of the Ang clan sleep here but in particular it serves as a meeting place for the village council which gets together to settle all disputes. It consists of the Ang, the two morung Angs and all adult males of the Ang clan. The fine for theft is divided between all members of this council and the one who has been injured. The return of stolen items however is not requested, at least not if it has already been consumed as is the case with rice in general.
