text: Furthermore the Ang agrees to copy for me the two figures of a morung posts. He starts immediately and I admire how he extracts the figures out of a block of wood with dao and a chisel first in rough outline. Every one of the strong blows hits where it is supposed to and it seems as though he never has to think about the next move. (143) The more detailed work is done with a small curved knife.
