We are also expected near Tanhai. There I finally see the famous stone seat of the Ahom king who married here the Ang daughter Wailong. The stone is in deep jungle but close to the road. Especially for me a path had been cleared superficially. I was disappointed about the stone. It is not especially big and apparently has not been worked apart from a ring-shaped small indentation in the middle. Other marks are probably natural though they are interpreted as the imprint of the Rajah's spear, the foot of his dog (149) and similar things |
