Then Yonglong takes a tiny black chicken, cuts its beak and waves it over the pigs jaws in such a way that its blood drips across them. Then he pulls out the chicks intestine and looks at it for a long time to read its omen. Then he places the chick on the rice. Now the boys are supposed to take a bit of the rice, mix with ashes, throw it on the pigs jawbone and say "He, He, He, Ha, Ha, Ha". It seems though as though no one had told them ahead of time or they had forgotten. Now they did not know what was expected of them or they were too shy. Everyone spoke to them but it took a long time until finally they did more or less what was required and it all created a real confusion. |
