text: Shankok's group which I had joined found a suitable tree after a few minutes which had a somewhat crooked beginning but then grew straight up for a good stretch. As the lowest part was not usable, two poles were set up about 2 metres above the ground and fastened to the tree to be felled and to two small neighbouring trees, and one of the boys climbed this construction and started to cut the tree (163) on both sides for which he used an axe of European style as all these men do
