text: The next, slightly higher, village (191) Sangsomo also consists of several khels which are rather distant from each other. The houses here are built in Chang style with the gables protruding. We saw a skull in the half burnt drum which is to stay there until a new drum house has been built. The drums here are sometimes open at both ends as some small Konyak drums and they no longer have the buffalo heads.
