Last night I thought that my tent would blow away. The canvas had not been fastened properly all the way around and the storm just went right through. In the morning the rain at least had stopped but it was still very cold. We got up at half past seven. The trail went steeply up and down through jhum fields below Lirisu. |

The slope of these fields where the job's tears is still standing is about one to one, possibly even steeper. Several times we had to descend deep down and cross over little streams on slippery tree trunks. Despite the strenuous walk we did not get hot because a cold wind was blowing which pushed low fog clouds over the peaks. Sun and shadow were quickly changing. |
