The women usually wear nothing above the waist and have very pretty shell necklaces. As a cloth they wear the same blue cloak as the men with red rectangles of dogs' hair. We are given three plaited hats as the Kalyu Kengyu make them and a dao for Major Williams. The path to Kuthurr went uphill, probably another 1000 feet in altitude, always through open jhum. Kuthurr which is a Yimsungr village about 200 houses had set up quite a good camp below their settlement. |
